BCS Connect are currently looking for an experienced Finishing Manager for a 6-month freelance position on a major £20m industrial/commercial construction project in Carlisle. The successful candidate will have extensive fit-out experience and be confident taking control of subcontractors, programme, quality and H&S from day one. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and coordinate fit-out subcontractors and trades. * Monitor programme and provide regular updates to the Project Manager. * Maintain high H&S and quality standards. * Coordinate with MEP teams and other trades. * Ensure works are completed to client standards and ready for sign-off. * Work from latest IFC drawings and assist with design coordination. * Report issues and provide practical solutions. * Provide a strong site presence and support the Fit Out Project Manager. Experience Required: * Extensive fit-out/finishing experience. * Strong subcontractor management and trade coordination skills. * CSCS and SMSTS required. * Excellent knowledge of H&S, quality and construction programmes. * Strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Professional and confident dealing with clients and project teams. * Time-served apprenticeship and additional qualifications preferred but not essential. Packages include raised access flooring, joinery/door sets, painting, epoxy and vinyl flooring, fire stopping and builders work openings. 20+ years' solid fit-out experience is preferred over qualifications alone.
