BCS Connect are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 4–6 week roofing, remedial and refurbishment project at a major client site in Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a background in roofing, remedial works, refurbishment or general building works, who is confident managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple workstreams on a live site.

The works will involve a varied package of planned maintenance, repairs and refurbishment, including:

  • Roof repair works
  • Window replacement
  • Car park concreting and remedial works
  • Decoration and associated refurbishment
  • Coordination of multiple trades and subcontractors
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme

Key Responsibilities

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the works, including:

  • Managing and supervising subcontractors and site operatives
  • Coordinating multiple trades and activities across the site
  • Ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
  • Monitoring progress and reporting any issues or delays
  • Ensuring RAMS and site documentation are in place and adhered to
  • Managing site health and safety requirements
  • Ensuring relevant permits and site procedures are followed
  • Liaising with the client, contractors and wider project team
  • Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
  • Providing effective leadership and maintaining high standards throughout the project

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Site Manager
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid
  • Proven experience within roofing, remedial works, refurbishment or building projects
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
  • Strong knowledge of site health and safety requirements
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of the project

Desirable:

  • Working at Height training
  • Excavation Permit training
  • Previous experience working within a client-controlled / operational environment
  • Experience delivering short-term refurbishment or remedial packages

Working at Height and Excavation Permit training is strongly preferred prior to starting.
