Job Description

This is an career-defining opportunity for a Senior Landscape Architect to help define the next generation of UK infrastructure and public realm design. Join a multidisciplinary practice where landscape is not an afterthought, but a driver of meaningful, people-focused environments—from major transport interchanges and public realm strategies to green infrastructure for energy, water, and highways projects.

The studio believes in the power of landscape to connect communities, improve wellbeing, and embed sustainability into the core of large-scale infrastructure. You'll work at both the strategic and detailed level—developing long-term frameworks, leading design coordination, and delivering high-quality public spaces in some of the UK’s most complex urban and environmental contexts. This is your chance to grow your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop landscape strategies across a broad range of infrastructure projects, including rail, highways, energy, and utilities
  • Shape public realm visions and green infrastructure responses at both macro and detailed levels
  • Manage projects through all RIBA and LI work stages, from early concept to technical delivery
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and environmental specialists in an integrated design process
  • Represent the practice in stakeholder meetings, public consultations, and client workshops
  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a collaborative design culture

Skills & Experience:

  • Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI) with minimum 5+ years post-qualification experience
  • Proven ability to deliver landscape design within complex infrastructure and civic environments
  • Strong conceptual and graphic communication skills, with the ability to articulate landscape narratives
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and 3D/visualisation tools (e.g. SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion)
  • Confident managing technical design, planting plans, and construction detailing
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary teams and engaging directly with clients, local authorities, and communities

Culture & Benefits:

  • Work on high-profile public and infrastructure projects that deliver long-term social and environmental impact
  • Join a collaborative, design-led studio that values innovation, technical rigour, and public benefit
  • Hybrid working and flexible hours to support work-life balance
  • Generous holiday allowance, enhanced pension scheme, and cycle-to-work initiative
  • Ongoing CPD and structured development support, with opportunities to grow into a leadership role
  • Friendly, inclusive team culture with regular design reviews, socials, and cross-team collaboration
