This is a varied, hands-on role covering marketing, business development, bids and communications, working closely with senior leadership and an established marketing team. You'll take ownership of the day-to-day marketing activity while helping to keep business development and bid activity moving across the practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience within architecture, construction, property or the wider built environment, with knowledge of the North West market highly desirable. Experience of bids, tenders and professional services marketing would be particularly beneficial.

The practice is open to candidates looking for 3–5 days per week, making this an attractive opportunity for someone seeking either a full-time maternity cover or a more flexible working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the practice's marketing and business development activity.
  • Manage the end-to-end bid and tender process, coordinating submissions and gathering input from Directors and technical teams.
  • Monitor new opportunities and tender alerts, assessing suitability and coordinating responses.
  • Manage the marketing calendar, campaigns, events, awards and business development activity.
  • Develop content for websites, social media, email campaigns, brochures, presentations and other communications.
  • Manage and coordinate external PR and marketing consultants.
  • Oversee the practice's social media and digital presence.
  • Coordinate award submissions, photography, video and other marketing content.
  • Maintain CRM, client databases, tender portals and company profiles.
  • Support client feedback, relationship-building and business development initiatives.
  • Monitor marketing and BD activity, budgets and reporting.
  • Manage and support the existing Marketing Coordinator.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Marketing Manager / Senior Marketing Executive role within architecture, construction, property, engineering or a related professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of the built environment and ideally the North West market.
  • Experience coordinating bids and tenders, ideally across both public and private sector opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Confident managing multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership, while also being a collaborative team player.
