An award-winning, employee-owned architecture and heritage practice is looking for a creative and highly organised Bid Coordinator to join its Manchester studio.
The practice works across an exciting mix of heritage, conservation and contemporary design projects and has a collaborative, supportive culture where people are encouraged to share ideas, develop their skills and take ownership of their work.
Working closely with Partners and the wider work-winning team, you will manage the end-to-end bid process, producing high-quality and visually engaging submissions while supporting the practice's wider business development activity.
This is a fast-paced role and would suit someone with bid coordination experience, strong InDesign skills and a genuine interest in architecture and the built environment. You'll be managing multiple bids and working with a range of stakeholders, so excellent organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time
- Work closely with Partners and internal stakeholders to develop high-quality proposals and presentation materials
- Use Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, to create visually engaging and professional bid submissions
- Design layouts and collate relevant imagery, graphics, project information and supporting content
- Review and proofread submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy and attention to detail
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously, working with a range of stakeholders and deadlines
- Maintain and develop bid library content, including CVs, project case studies and photography
- Support bid analysis, including reviewing wins and losses and identifying lessons learned
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and introduce greater efficiencies
- Collaborate with the wider Business Development and Marketing teams on strategic initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Bid Coordinator, Bid Executive or similar role
- Experience managing and coordinating high-value bids and tenders
- Excel in InDesign skills and confidence producing high-quality documents and presentations
- Strong graphic design and layout skills would be beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading ability
- Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Confident working with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Experience using procurement portals would be advantageous
- Previous experience within architecture, construction or the wider built environment would be highly desirable
- Hybrid and flexible working, with a minimum of three days in the office
