Based in Manchester, you’ll be part of a friendly and forward-thinking studio, working on a range of projects with real scope for progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project briefs into considered design solutions aligned with the RIBA Plan of Work, working with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Contribute to the coordination and delivery of pre-construction information across project stages.
  • Produce efficient, sustainable and buildable design solutions.
  • Ensure designs comply with UK regulations, British Standards and relevant Codes of Practice.
  • Advise on material selection, considering performance, cost, and environmental impact.
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications using NBS, supported by up-to-date manufacturer information.
  • Support design development in line with project budgets, including value engineering where required.
  • Participate in project reviews, coordination meetings and workshops.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting planning, building regulations and building safety documentation.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities and contribute to reports and submissions.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors and specialist teams.
  • Support the management of design risks and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Assist during construction stages, including troubleshooting design-related issues.
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Architect (RIBA Part III) with ARB registration.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ post-qualification experience within a UK architectural practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge, including construction detailing and UK regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in the education sector (desirable, not essential).
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery within a consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in design and visualisation tools such as SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit (BIM experience preferred).
