A highly regarded, award-winning design studio is seeking an HR Advisor / HR Executive to join its close-knit team of around 35 employees in London. This is an exciting opportunity to become the dedicated HR professional within a collaborative, creative business, working closely with the Finance Director, Practice Leaders and Founder while taking ownership of the full employee lifecycle.

Offering a salary of £40,000-£45,000, hybrid working from day one (3 days in the office, 2 from home), up to £1,500 towards further CIPD study plus additional paid study leave, and genuine opportunities for career progression, this role is ideal for an HR professional looking to develop their career within a growing business where they can make a real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment process from briefing through to onboarding.
  • Coordinate interviews, prepare contracts and conduct reference checks.
  • Support managers with performance reviews, pay reviews and employee relations matters.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures and ensure compliance with employment legislation.
  • Manage employee benefits, holiday and absence records through the HR system.
  • Support payroll by working closely with the Finance team on sickness, unpaid leave and payroll changes.
  • Coordinate learning and development initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement, culture and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Act as the approachable, day-to-day HR contact for the studio, providing advice and guidance to employees and managers.
  • Support leadership with organisational planning and people-related projects.
  • Assist with some office operations alongside the Finance Manager and PA, including facilities and general office coordination.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an HR Executive or HR Advisor within a design focused environment.
  • Experience working within a business of approximately 20–50 employees.
  • CIPD Level 3 (completed or currently working towards) is essential.
  • A solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Comfortable working independently across the full HR function.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive, approachable and people-focused attitude.
