We are seeking a strong Associate Interior Architect / Associate Technical Designer to join a London studio. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on professional who combines excellent technical expertise with a strong design eye.
Working across high-end commercial workplace and interior projects, you will take ownership of projects from design development through to construction, leading technical delivery while ensuring design quality is maintained throughout. You'll also play an important role in mentoring junior team members and coordinating multidisciplinary consultants to deliver projects to the highest standard.
This position is ideal for someone who is happy being a key member of the team, enjoys getting involved in every stage of a project, and aspires to continue developing within a collaborative, design-led practice.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical delivery of commercial workplace and interior projects from design development through construction.
- Produce and oversee comprehensive RIBA Stage 3 and Stage 4 drawing packages.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Manage projects during the construction phase, including site inspections, contractor coordination, and technical problem-solving.
- Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, and the wider professional team to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage and mentor a small team of 2–3 designers.
- Ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and to the highest technical and design standards.
- Balance strong technical delivery with a creative approach to design.
- Proven experience within commercial workplace, hospitality, or high-end interior projects.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge.
- Experience producing coordinated RIBA Stage 3 and Stage 4 packages.
- Previous site and construction phase experience.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to run projects independently.
- Experience managing or mentoring a small team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A strong design eye supported by exceptional technical ability.
