Our award-winning international design practice client in London is looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their studio, working across high-profile UK and global projects. You will support the finance team with invoicing, credit control, and account management. With a strong focus on development, wellbeing, and sustainability (as a certified B Corp), this is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to build their finance career in a creative, forward-thinking environment. Responsibilities:
- Raise and process client invoices accurately and in a timely manner using Sage 200
- Manage credit control, including chasing overdue payments and resolving queries
- Post and reconcile customer payments, ensuring the AR ledger is accurate and up to date
- Liaise with internal teams and clients to resolve billing issues efficiently
- Support month-end processes, reporting, and audit requirements
Requirements:
- Experience in Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role, ideally within architecture, design, engineering, or the built environment
- Relevant degree in Finance/Accounting and/or studying towards AAT, CIMA, or ACCA qualification
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles, including debits/credits and transactional processes
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems such as Sage 200, Xero, or QuickBooks
