An award-winning interior design studio is looking for a talented Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join its growing Manchester team. Working across high-end hospitality, hotel, F&B and lifestyle projects, you'll have the opportunity to help shape memorable, sensory-led environments from concept through to completion. This is a design-focused role within a collaborative studio that values creativity, innovation and exceptional client experience.
You'll work closely with senior designers and creative leadership on a diverse range of projects, from boutique hospitality venues through to large-scale hotel developments, taking ownership of design packages, client interaction and project delivery. Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver creative interior design concepts from briefing through to completion.
- Produce high-quality presentations, mood boards, space planning and design documentation.
- Lead elements of projects across concept, developed design, technical delivery and installation.
- Create and specify FF&E schemes, finishes, bespoke furniture and material palettes.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and suppliers throughout project delivery.
- Attend client meetings, presentations, workshops and site visits.
- Prepare detailed drawing packages, schedules and specifications.
- Collaborate with visualisation teams to communicate design intent effectively.
- Support project programmes, budgets and milestone deliverables.
- Contribute to design research, trend analysis and material sourcing.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Assist with installation, snagging and project close-out activities.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and contribute to a positive studio culture.
- Degree qualified in Interior Design or a related discipline.
- Several years' experience working within a commercial interior design practice.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating hospitality, hotel, F&B or lifestyle projects.
- Excellent design, concept development and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of FF&E specification, materials and finishes.
- Experience producing technical drawing packages and project documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior designers is desirable.
- Passion for design trends, emerging materials and experiential design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
