Multi-disciplinary practice with a real focus on design are seeking a highly creative and design-focused Architect to join their agile, high-end studio. This is a pivotal role for a designer who possesses a genuine passion for the craft and a meticulous eye for the \\\”fine details.\\\”
Following a period of successful growth with private clients, they are looking for a \\\”design engine\\\” for the practice – someone who gets their kicks from great architecture and wants to elevate the aesthetic output of every project they touch. Whether you are a hungry, rising star with a few years of experience or a more seasoned Architect capable of running projects independently, your primary value will be your design flair.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the design lead across a diverse portfolio, including high-end hotel/wellness projects and commercial office refurbs.
- Bridge the \\\”design gap\\\” within the studio, pushing creative boundaries and ensuring a high-quality aesthetic across all RIBA stages.
- Translate client aspirations into beautiful, buildable realities with a focus on small-scale, exquisite detailing.
- Lead projects from initial concept through to completion (depending on seniority), maintaining design integrity during the delivery phase.
- Represent the practice in front of private clients and contractors with confidence and clarity.
- Work collaboratively with the technical team to ensure design concepts are executed to the highest standard.
Skills & Experience
- ARB registered Architect (or equivalent) with a portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design flair.
- A \\\”hungry and passionate\\\” mindset – we are looking for someone who lives and breathes architecture.
- Proven experience in high-end residential, hospitality, or sophisticated commercial refurbishments.
- An obsession with the details; you should be as interested in the joinery and material junctions as you are in the massing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; Revit skills are highly desirable and would allow you to add immediate value to our BIM workflow.
- Ability to work autonomously or lead a small team depending on the scale of the appointment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to \\\”sell\\\” a design vision to private clients.
