Your Role as an Engineering Operative
As an Engineering Operative, you will support machining operations and work with heavy steel components, developing your skills in a busy engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with and operating heavy gantry milling machines
- Using overhead cranes to move large steel components
- Supporting machining and fabrication processes
- Reading basic engineering drawings
- Using measuring tools such as micrometres and verniers
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Basic understanding of engineering or machining principles
- Engineering qualification or apprenticeship (preferred)
- Experience using micrometres and verniers (advantageous)
- Keen interest in engineering and manufacturing
- Willingness to learn and develop skills
- Reliable and hardworking attitude
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 6:00pm
Friday: 6:00am – 12:00pm (every other week)
