About the Role

As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will assemble mechanical components and finished products using engineering drawings, hand tools and power tools while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical parts, sub-assemblies and complete products.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and build instructions.
  • Use hand tools and power tools accurately and safely.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections on completed assemblies.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Work to production schedules and daily targets.
  • Follow all health & safety and company procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings or technical diagrams.
  • Confident using hand tools and powered assembly equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Reliable, punctual and team focused.
  • NVQ / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing (desirable).
