The role centres on supporting the family’s adult daughter (37), who has a chronic condition requiring physiotherapy and specialist medical support. The Family Assistant must adapt to her varying health and energy levels, offering personal security protection, practical help, and seamless household and travel management.

Secondary duties (for the family):
  • Oversee daily personal and household tasks.
  • Manage errands, personal shopping, and sourcing items at short notice.
  • Handle deliveries, correspondence, and ad-hoc administrative requests.
  • Liaise professionally with hotel and residence staff, drivers, and service providers.
  • Ensure smooth support during excursions, airport transfers and international travel.
  • Accountable and keep records of work done to the job specification.

Hours and days: 8/10 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. Fixed schedule.

Schedule and travel requirements: Full-time permanent role; no rotational schedule. Extensive international travel with the family, approx.:

  • UK: 3-4 months/year (London)
  • USA: ~4-5 months/year (mainly Potomac, MD + domestic trips)
  • EU: ~2-3 months/year (e.g., Greece)
  • Asia: ~1-2 months/year (India and other destinations)

Typical stays range from several weeks to months. Accommodation always provided while travelling; all work-related travel expenses covered. Live in or out in London; live in during all travel. Flexibility to work across time zones; rest periods to be reasonably factored in.

Requirements:

  • Significant UHNW household experience (5+ years preferred) in care, companion or family assistant roles.
  • Solid understanding of non-clinical support for chronic conditions; first aid or care training.

  • Warm, calm, professional manner with excellent boundaries and discretion.
  • Physically fit and energetic for a demanding travel schedule.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and verifiable references.
  • Right to work in the UK and valid passport for global travel. Visas and work rights papers organised by client.
  • Must be accountable, organised, and able to keep accurate records of work completed.
  • Only candidates who meet the requirements and are fully flexible for the travel schedule will be considered.
Benefits:
