We are seeking an exceptional Senior Laundry Specialist to join an UHNW private household in a lead, specialist position. This role is suited to someone with a strong background in luxury hotels and UHNW private households, who brings deep technical knowledge of high-end garments, luxury brands and couture-level garment care.
The successful candidate will take ownership of all laundry and wardrobe processes, setting standards, overseeing best practice, and acting as the go-to expert within the household team. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, discretion and confidence, alongside the ability to lead, guide and train others in correct garment care and handling.
Key Responsibilities- Full responsibility for all laundry operations within the household
- Expert care of high-end and luxury garments, including couture, bespoke tailoring and delicate fabrics
- Washing, handwashing, pressing and finishing to the highest professional standard
- Correct handling of silks, cashmere, wool, linen, embroidery, beading and specialist fabrics
- Knowledge of luxury and designer brands and their specific care requirements
- Wardrobe management, organisation and seasonal rotation
- Liaising with specialist dry cleaners and external providers when required
- Spotting, treating and preventing stains with advanced techniques
- Ensuring all garments are stored, presented and maintained impeccably
- Act as lead specialist for laundry and garment care
- Set standards, systems and best practice for the household
- Train and support other staff members on correct garment handling
- Quality control and final checks before garments are returned to wardrobes
- Advise the household team on garment care, storage and maintenance
- Proven experience as a Senior / Lead Laundry Specialist
- Background from luxury hotels and UHNW private households
- Strong technical expertise in luxury garment care and high-end brands
- Confident, calm and highly detail-oriented
- Able to lead by example and work autonomously
- Discreet, professional and trustworthy (NDA required)
