We are seeking an experienced, mature, and highly professional Housekeeper to join a warm but structured UHNW private household in Chelsea. This is a long-term position within a fully staffed but relatively informal young household environment. The successful candidate will rotate with one other Housekeeper, working closely together to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the residence. The household is looking for someone with a naturally caring, proactive, and supportive nature – someone who genuinely enjoys looking after a home and the people within it. The Principal is expecting a baby, so they are particularly seeking a Housekeeper who is attentive, thoughtful, calm, and naturally helpful in their approach. This role would suit someone who takes pride in creating an organised, peaceful, and well-run environment and who notices what needs doing without needing constant direction. The family also has a dog, so the successful candidate must be comfortable around dogs and happy to assist with occasional dog walking if needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping to a very high standard
- Laundry, ironing, pressing, and wardrobe organisation
- Maintaining clean, organised, and beautifully presented living spaces
- Assisting with household organisation and day-to-day smooth running of the home
- Occasional simple meal preparation or light service support if required
- Assisting in a thoughtful and supportive way around the Principal when needed
- Dog walking / assisting with the family dog when required
- Working collaboratively and respectfully with the other Housekeeper
- Maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times
Schedule
- 5 days per week
- Maximum 45 working hours per week
- Rotational shifts with the other Housekeeper
- Example shift patterns may include:
- 7:30am – 4:30pm
- 1:00pm – 10:00pm
Please note that flexibility is required as weekend cover will form part of the rota system.
