We are recruiting for an experienced CNC professional to join a precision engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business, programming and setting high-quality universal milling machines to manufacture precision-engineered components.

The Role

  • As a CNC Operator, you'll be responsible for programming, setting and operating universal milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
  • Working from engineering drawings, you'll manufacture precision components to exact specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set and operate CNC universal milling machines.
  • Use Heidenhain controls to produce precision-machined components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Carry out machine set-ups, tool changes and first-off inspections.
  • Ensure components meet quality and dimensional requirements.
  • Maintain machinery and work areas to a high standard.
  • Work closely with the production team to meet manufacturing deadlines.

About You

  • Our client is looking for someone with experience as a: CNC Miller, CNC Operator, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, Precision Machinist, CNC Machinist.
  • Experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
  • Experience using Heidenhain controls.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and measuring equipment.
