Bespak is looking for an onsite, permanent Technical Support Engineer on the Holmes Chapel site, CW4 8BE. The salary for this role is £60,000 to £70,000 per annum. Other benefits include:

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5.00pm; Friday 8:30am to 3:45pm.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of site infrastructure, building services, and utilities. The role combines day-to-day facilities engineering support with capital project delivery, responsible for maintaining operational performance while delivering improvements on time, within budget, and in line with UK regulatory, HSE, and GMP standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of site infrastructure, utilities, and building services.
- Championing health, safety, environmental, and GMP standards across all activities.
- Managing facilities projects from concept to completion — delivering on time and within budget.
- Leading contractor management, including permits, RAMS, and performance monitoring.
- Providing technical problem-solving support and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Manufacturing, QA, HSE, and Procurement.
- Supporting sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across the site.
Beneficial key skills and experience:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in facilities, building services, maintenance, or project engineering.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, contractor management, and risk control.
- Experience delivering engineering or facilities projects.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and engineering systems (e.g. CAD, CAFM, asset management tools).
Desirable qualifications include:
- Project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2, PMP).
- NEBOSH, IOSH, CDM, CSCS, or similar.
- Experience in GMP or cleanroom environments.
- Understanding of RIBA stages and building lifecycle management.
