About The Role
Bespak is recruiting a Senior Quality Analyst to join the Quality Operations team at its Holmes Chapel site (CW4 8BE). These are permanent, onsite roles offering a salary range of £27,000 to £31,000, along with a discretionary annual bonus. The benefits package includes 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous 10% pension contribution, free onsite parking, and comprehensive medical, dental, health, and life assurance cover.
Shift Pattern - working 37.5 hours per week. Days 7.75 hours per day from Monday to Thursday, with a flexible start time between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. On Fridays, the working hours are 6.5 hours, with an expected finish time of 3:45 p.m.
The Senior Quality Analyst plays a key role within the QC team, delivering analytical testing, reporting, and investigations to support compliant and on-time product release. Working to exacting GMP, regulatory, HSE, and site standards, the role ensures the quality, safety, and integrity of products across incoming materials, in-process, and finished goods. The position involves performing and reviewing chemical testing using approved methods, investigating technical and equipment issues, supporting method evaluation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
As a senior member of the team, the role provides coaching and training to laboratory colleagues, acts as a technical role model, supports change and problem‑solving activities, and may deputise for the Team Leader while providing expertise across the wider Quality organisation. This permanent Senior Quality Analyst’s position is part of an expansion phase of recruitment for an exciting new venture. At Bespak Holmes Chapel, we are investing significantly to expand our capacity to develop and manufacture pMDIs (Asthma Inhalers) with greener propellants to meet evolving sustainability standards in the industry. Senior Quality Analyst duties will include:
- Communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal formats including technical reports, investigations and presentations.
- Train, coach, and support colleagues, including delivery of new or updated training.
- Plan and manage workload independently with minimal supervision.
- Challenge existing ways of working to drive process improvement and performance.
- Lead and support change initiatives, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of GMP/GLP and compliance management principles.
- Apply in-depth technical expertise in analytical chemistry or microbiology, laboratory instrumentation, and related systems.
- Maintain awareness of industry developments, regulatory changes, and pharmacopeial requirements.
- Understand cross‑functional quality and business processes and their impact on customer service and operational performance.
- Acts as assistant to the QC Team Leader.
Senior Quality Analyst beneficial key skills and experience:
- A science degree / HND/ NVQ 4 or equivalent with at least 1‑3 years working experience in a GMP environment.
- High level of technical knowledge and expertise of quality control principles and systems in a GMP environment.
- Computer‑literate with experience in the use of Laboratory (LIMS, Data capture) and some Quality (Deviation, Change Control, CAPA support, Documentation) systems, an understanding of Statistical analysis packages as well as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver projects and investigations over short timescales (i.e. up to 3 months).
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of global pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines and ability to support reviews.
