Bespak is recruiting Analytical Development Analysts to join their Drug Development Team at its Holmes Chapel site (CW4 8BE). These are permanent, onsite roles offering a salary range of £25K-£27K along with a discretionary annual bonus. The benefits package includes 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, a generous 10% pension contribution, free onsite parking, and comprehensive medical, dental, health, and life assurance cover.
Shift Pattern
- Days: Monday to Thursday: 7.75 hours per day
- Friday: 6.5 hours per day (expected finish time 3:45 pm)
- Total: 37.5 hours per week
Responsibilities
The Analytical Development Analyst, within Drug Product Development, performs method development, validation, and stability testing to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance. Working to cGMP and regulatory standards, the role involves executing chemical testing, analysing and reviewing results, and identifying technical or equipment issues. The Analyst collaborates with senior team members to resolve problems and support continuous improvement while maintaining safe and effective laboratory practices.

Duties
- Conduct testing of samples using a wide range of equipment.
- Manage own workload.
- Learn new techniques and pharmaceutical regulations.
- Analyse data using standard operating procedures.
- Challenge and seek improvements in ways of working/processes.
- Provide laboratory support to maintain effective working of laboratory areas.
- Be involved with investigations, working within their local area to aid identification of root cause.
Key skills and experience
- A science degree/HND/NVQ 4 or minimum one year work experience within a laboratory environment.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience contributing to projects and investigations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to explain procedures to teams, customers, and inspectors.
- Self-motivated with good planning and workload management skills.
- Proactive in improving processes and challenging ways of working.
- Supports change and acts or escalates when needed.
- Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry, lab instrumentation, and related systems.
