Financial Controller

Bespak are looking for a Financial Controller for the Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary range for this permanent, hybrid role is between £60k and £65k plus a discretionary annual bonus. Our generous benefits package includes:

Working Pattern: Mon to Fri, Work 7.5 hours + 30 mins lunch break, between 8am and 5pm (8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm). We can be flexible and look at what works for you within the needs of the business. Hybrid working options available.

In this Financial Controller role, you will manage the company's financial operations and support the Group Financial Controller with managing the daily finance function. You'll ensure all accounting and financial reporting is compliant and maintain robust financial controls. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading the finance team
• Overseeing accounting tasks such as month-end reporting and tax management
• Delivering consolidated financial statements
• Leading cash flow forecasting
• Ensuring statutory and tax compliance
• Improving accounting processes
• Serving as the primary contact for auditors and advisors

Preferred key skills and experience:

• Professional accountancy qualification held (ACA or ACCA)
• Post-qualification experience gained within an industry setting
• Strong financial reporting understanding (IFRS & FRS 101)
• Demonstrable experience effectively line managing team members
• Knowledge of tax compliance regulations and schemes
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling
• Standard DBS required following a conditional offer of employment

We are a pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that offers development and manufacturing solutions for a variety of medications, including medical devices such as pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDI), soft mist inhalers (SMI), dry powder inhalers (DPI), nasal sprays and medical check valves. King’s Lynn is a market town steeped in history with an hourly direct rail link to Cambridge (1 hour) and London (2 hours). This role could suit someone with experience as a Group Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Audit Manager.
