With safety as our number one priority, our electrical division focuses on electrical safety, carrying out hundreds of essential Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and other critical inspections for our customers every day. We are also a leading specialist Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider, managing the end-to-end installation and ongoing routine safety examinations.
To be considered for this role, you will live within North London and be comfortable travelling across the Home Counties.
As an Electrical Remedial Engineer for BES Electrical, you will carry out electrical testing within the social housing industry in the North West and Yorkshire area. You will undertake electrical testing in domestic/communal areas and carry out any associated remedial works identified.
You will:
- Undertake high-quality electrical repairs and remedial works following inspection, such as distribution board changes, RCDs and socket changes.
- Have the opportunity to get involved in small projects such as EV installations.
- Comply with company standards of work performance, ensuring implementation and compliance within electrical policies and procedures.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Utilise both our CRM system and reporting software to accurately record electrical documentation.
- Liaise with customers and members of our supply chain, ensuring you provide an excellent service.
- Maintain van stocks and provide information enabling the improvements of first-time fixes for the area you work within.
As a Fixed Wire Tester (Housing), you will receive:
- A standard starting salary of £43,000 with realistic earnings of up to £50,000.

To join our team, you will need:
- Qualifications including: NVQ Level 3 Qualification in electrical installation work e.g. C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (2394 / 2395).
- To demonstrate a positive, diverse and inclusive attitude to both internal and external customers and colleagues.
- A flexible approach to working, with the ability and willingness to work overtime during busy periods.
- To be happy to work nights 1 week out of every month.
- To be a hard-working, conscientious Electrician who takes satisfaction from delivering a great service to our prestigious client base.
- A good level of computer literacy.
- A full driving licence.
