XEIAD is a specialist engineering inspection consultancy delivering high-quality inspections and assessments on critical infrastructure assets. Using specialist access techniques such as rope access, diving and confined space working, their expert engineers inspect structures including bridges, tunnels and culverts, providing reliable insight to help asset owners manage risk and maintain safety.
What will you be doing? As an Enabling Works Supervisor for XEIAD, part of British Engineering Services Group, you will support the delivery of structural examinations (mainly in the Rail environment) by supervising enabling works as directed by the Enabling Works Manager. You will also:
- Supervise a variety of enabling works reconnaissance and works delivery including (but not limited to) brush cutting, hedge trimming, clearing debris from bridge bearings, removal of advertisement hoardings, CCTV, brickwork removal/reinstatement, fence removal/re-instatement, de-watering and installing portable dams in accordance with company values.
- Capture site condition pre and post work in a factual report-driven manner.
- Lead/ promote and record close calls as identified and report through appropriate systems.
- Work closely with the Planning Team to ensure that all SSOW documentation, track access and safety critical resource requirements are in place to deliver the programme.
- Deliver works safely and in accordance with the Contract Specification and programme of works, ensuring that the team follow the Company Process & Procedures whilst adhering to the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Standards.
