Our infrastructure division supports safety of key civil infrastructure through expert inspections and access to challenging locations, including railway bridges and other assets.
What will you be doing?
As a Structures Examiner for XEIAD, you will ensure our clients’ infrastructure is safe for use and fit for purpose.
You will be responsible for the successful completion of Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys on a wide range of infrastructure civil engineering assets across the rail sector.
Responsibilities
- Use specialist access to inspect and examine structures throughout the UK in accordance with required technical standards and specifications
- Lead the safe and successful delivery of Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys
- Support pre-work planning activities including attendance at pre-site visits, liaison with landowners, agents or contractors, and review and acceptance of proposed safe systems of work
- Prepare inspection reports, including the production of drawings within CAD
- Work as part of a growing team on railway infrastructure
Qualifications
- Experience in a Structures Examiner role
- Knowledge of Rail Inspection Regulations
- Fully competent to STE4 level (or working towards)
- Willingness to travel and work nationwide
- Ability to work at height and within confined spaces
- Full UK Driving licence
- Ideally, an IRATA qualification (up to Rope Access Supervisor L3)
