Inspire Structures is a specialist in the management and inspection of infrastructure assets, such as railway structures. They provide safety‑focused, high‑precision structure inspections, competency assessments, associated training, and engineering services to asset owners.
What will you be doing? As a Trainee Structures Examiner for Inspire Structures, part of BES Infrastructure, you will support qualified examiners in assessing the condition of structures across the UK, while developing your skills through structured training and mentoring. You'll gain experience in planning and carrying out inspection activities in a safety‑critical environment.
- Assist in planning site examinations, including identifying risks
- Carry out examinations of structures to determine structural condition
- Compile and submit clear and accurate condition reports
- Take responsibility for your own health, safety and wellbeing, as well as that of others
- Once trained, support specialist examinations involving confined spaces or rope access techniques

To join our team, you will need:
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- 5 GCSEs (Grades A–C), including Maths and English
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- To be medically fit and able to pass pre‑employment and ongoing medicals, including drug and alcohol testing
