Our Heavy Lifting Solutions division is an exciting place to be. From consulting and supporting on the planning of some of the most complex lifting operations at high profile customer sites, to overseeing the execution of the very same lifts, our team of experts play a critical role in making sure nothing is left to chance.
Our Lifting Superintendents support multiple projects across the UK - you must be willing to work away every week (Monday - Friday) and be flexible with regards to travel and location.
Responsibilities:
- Providing our customers with independent and impartial advice during the planning and execution phases of projects.
- Reporting to the Area Lifting Engineers, providing support/technical input as required.
- Providing oversight and on site governance of contractors and suppliers lifting operations, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with company and project standards, approved lift plans (SSOW) using certified lifting personnel, equipment and accessories.
- Stopping any lifting operation from occurring if there are concerns over the safety of the lift.
- Identifying lifting issues at site level and reporting using the company and project safety observation reporting systems.
- Reporting and recording all lifting related near misses/accidents/incidents.
- Monitoring and/or auditing lifting operations, including the management of lifting equipment.
- Monitoring all variations to lifting documentation, ensuring that they are reviewed/approved by BES Heavy Lifting Solutions Ltd prior to the task commencing.
- Maintaining detailed site logs and records of all lifting activity in support of the effective execution of project contract.
- Consistently providing an exceptional level of customer service, while representing our brilliant company professionally.
What you get:
- Salary up to £73,022 (inclusive of £17,000 project bonus).
- Tax free living allowance of £15,700.
- Opportunity for regular overtime (although not guaranteed) - potential earnings up to an additional £20,000 annually.
- Up to £6,000 annually for out of pocket expenses.
- Mobile phone allowance up to £480 annually.
