Our specialist team are experts in completing thorough inspections on critical structures such as railway bridges, accessing challenging locations.
As a Structures Examiner for XEIAD, part of British Engineering Services Group, you will ensure our clients' infrastructure is safe for use and fit for purpose. You will be responsible for:
- Successful completion of Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys on a wide range of infrastructure civil engineering assets across the rail sector.
- Using specialist access to inspect and examine a variety of structures throughout the UK in accordance with the required technical standards/specifications.
- Leading the safe and successful delivery of Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys.
- Supporting pre-work planning activities including attendance at pre-site visits, liaison with landowners, agents or contractors, review and acceptance of proposed safe systems of work.
- Preparing inspection reports, including the production of drawings within CAD.
- Working as part of a growing team on railway infrastructure.

To join our team, you will need:
- Experience in a Structures Examiner role.
- Knowledge of Rail Inspection Regulations.
- Fully competent to STE4 level (or working towards).
- Be prepared to travel and work nationwide.
- The ability to work at height and within confined spaces.
- Full UK Driving license.
- Ideally, an IRATA qualification (up to Rope Access Supervisor L3).
