Our sales team plays a vital role in the growing organisation, focusing on growing sales by identifying, evaluating and winning new accounts across the group. The team develops sales strategies and plans to meet business requirements.
As a Business Development Manager for the BES Group, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Testing Division sales team, you will be responsible for developing a sales strategy for your industry sector. You will help work towards BES Group goals by:
- Leading and contributing to the winning of new customers; including making presentations, engaging in negotiations, ensuring follow-up and production of necessary documentation
- Prospecting new contacts within your specified division
- Becoming an active member of the Group, working within the team to develop new service and product sales opportunities
- Delivering sales of products and services throughout the group ensuring consistency with the strategic plan, embracing a solution sales approach
- Meeting or exceeding the BES Group growth strategy and utilising technologies and sales programmes to quickly increase market share
- Understanding customer business drivers and goals and keeping up to date with customer’s businesses
- Developing relationships at decision maker levels within a customer’s organisation
- Being fluent in discussing scope of services, availability and throughput at all levels
- Developing high value solutions for customer pains using the product portfolio
- Proactively using the CRM tool to maximise effectiveness
- Delivering monthly sales forecasting and an annual budget forecast
- Analysing market trends and reporting back into the business
As part of our team, you will get:
- A salary from £45,000, depending on experience (OTE from £50,000)

To join our team, you will have:
- Experience in the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in either sales or as a NDT Engineer
- Knowledge of the regulations within the Engineering Inspection and compliance market
- Highly effective sales, communication and presentation skills to deliver results
- Vast amount of prospecting experience
- Comfortable in presenting proposals to clients
- Excel in relationship building, influencing and negotiating
- Excellent attention to detail, working with detailed proposals and CRM systems
- Experience working directly with customers and in the customer environment
- A track record of developing sales functions and exceeding revenue retention and growth expectations
