The Role

We are looking for a talented Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to support our bike, e-bike, e-scooter and cargo micro-mobility operations across the UK. The role will be based in our Manchester Depot and will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to deliver accurate schemes inventory planning and Inbound/UK logistics coordination. We are looking for an experienced Inventory & Logistics planning professional for our future growth. The chosen candidate will manage the supply chain, tracking shipments, organising deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records and have the ability to support forecasting and maintaining stocks for fulfilling operational requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Planning
    • Work alongside operations to formulate requirements into a forecast & plan
    • Assist in schemes inventory counts, track movements and manage stock records in the inventory management system
    • Set/establish a reporting system for shortages or excesses for procurement and inventory control.
    • Work along with the store manager to report internal and external storage inventory
    • Work alongside the RMA team on the movement of defectives/repaired items
    • Assist and coordinate with the manager’s assigned projects
  • Logistics Coordination & Cost Management
    • Manage & track internal inbound shipments from the Far East/Europe/North America
    • Plan/manage efficient shipping modes & track shipments and achieve on-time delivery
    • Arrange local distribution and outbound logistics for scheme fulfillment, Special projects and exhibition
    • Carry out logistics cost benchmarking on shipments to ensure cost efficiency
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, freight forwarders, transport providers and suppliers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
    • Coordinate end-to-end customs declarations, documentation filing and supplier compliance on documents to fulfill HMRC requirements
  • System Management
    • Maintain internal inventory system data on logistics movement
    • Generate periodic stock reports for monitoring stock levels, and generate analytic reports
    • Propose and assist in enhancing the inventory system configuration to fit business needs
  • Supplier/Service provider/Carrier Liaison
    • Execute and assist in robusting the inventory and logistics operation procedures
    • Actively carry out logistics suppliers benchmarking on both efficiency and costing
    • Liaise with suppliers for shipment tracking & exceptions
    • Modelling and communicating Beryl's needs in terms of logistics planning
    • Educating and enhancing supplier performance to meet KPI
    • Driving on-time delivery and fulfilling stakeholder satisfaction
    • Assist in warehousing & freight forwarding suppliers' cost benchmarking

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree, ideally with a commercial focus (business, logistics, supply chain)
  • Experience in inventory, supplier and logistics planning
  • Experience in the customs clearance process & HS code is advantageous
  • Logistics project skills are advantageous but not essential
  • Good data analysis skills e.g. Expert Level of Excel/Google Sheet, data modelling experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and project management skills
  • An analytical mind with strong attention to detail
