About The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Depot Operations Lead to run day-to-day depot operations and lead a high-performing workshop team. You will be responsible for fleet readiness, staff performance, safety, and operational standards, making sure the depot runs efficiently and supports excellent service delivery in the field. Working closely with senior operations and on-street teams, you will also play a key role in process improvement, performance reporting, and maintaining a strong working relationship with the client.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and manage depot and workshop teams, including mechanics and support staff
- Ensure high productivity, quality repairs, and fleet readiness
- Manage rotas, stock, tools, and depot assets
- Own health & safety compliance, toolbox talks, and safety checks
- Track performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement
- Support client reporting and contribute to monthly performance reviews
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members
- Act as the escalation point for depot-based issues
