Do you enjoy being outdoors? Interested in plants, green spaces and practical work? This is a great opportunity to start your career in horticulture while helping to keep one of the UK’s most historic towns looking its best.
As our Apprentice Warden, you’ll join our friendly outside services team, supporting the upkeep of Berwick’s play parks, floral displays and public spaces. You’ll learn real skills from experienced colleagues while studying towards a RHS Level 2 Horticulture Operative apprenticeship with Northumberland College.
What you’ll be doing:
- Helping with planting, pruning and watering
- Supporting seasonal displays and community planting projects
- Learning to use horticultural tools and equipment safely
- Wooden bench maintenance
- Working outdoors in all seasons as part of a supportive team
- Being a friendly, approachable presence in the community while working in public spaces
What we’re looking for:
- Enthusiasm for gardening and outdoor maintenance work
