We are looking for a driven, resilient and highly committed HR Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team at Berwick Care. This is not a role for someone who wants to simply “do their job.” This is an opportunity for someone who takes real ownership, thrives on responsibility, and is motivated to go above and beyond to deliver results.
You will play a key role in attracting, recruiting and supporting our people across the business. From managing vacancies to supporting managers with people-related matters, this is a fast-paced, hands-on role where challenges are part of the job — and how you respond to them is what sets you apart.
Experience is valuable, but mindset is everything. We are looking for someone who demonstrates:
- Loyalty & Commitment – Someone who genuinely cares about the business, the team, and the people within it
- Drive & Work Ethic – Willing to go above and beyond to support both recruitment and people management
- Ownership & Accountability – You take responsibility and see things through, not pass them on
- Adaptability – Comfortable managing both recruitment and wider HR responsibilities
- Positive, “Can-Do” Attitude – No “that’s not my job” mindset — you’re proactive, solutions-focused, and hands-on
Requirements:
- Own recruitment and people processes
- Be ready to adapt — priorities change and no two days are the same
- Step into new tasks, even outside your comfort zone — no “not my job” mindset
- Be loyal to the business goals and committed to building and supporting strong teams
Recruitment:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment across a variety of roles
- Write and advertise job vacancies across platforms
- Screen CVs, conduct initial interviews, and shortlist candidates
- Coordinate interviews and support hiring managers
- Proactively source candidates through job boards and LinkedIn
- Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience
HR & People Support:
- Act as a first point of contact for HR queries across the business
- Support managers with day-to-day people matters and decision making
- Assist with onboarding, inductions, and employee lifecycle processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Support absence management, performance monitoring, and employee engagement
- Assist with investigations and HR documentation where required
- Ensure HR processes are followed in line with company standards and current employment legislation
- Support managers in handling people matters in a fair, consistent and compliant manner
Experience & Mindset:
- Previous experience in recruitment, HR, or a similar role is beneficial
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confident dealing with people at all levels
- Working knowledge of HR processes and employment law would be advantageous
Benefits:
- Free lunch provided daily
- Free on-site parking
- On-site gym access
- Career development opportunities and access to external training
- Employee Assistance Programme for mental health and financial wellbeing
- Friendly, supportive working environment with team lunches, bake-offs and social events
- Flexible working – office-based, hybrid or remote options available
