Overview
In this role you will support the development of advanced automotive lighting by performing and overseeing measurements in the lighting lab. You will ensure lab operations, prepare samples, and conduct luminance and color tests to generate reliable data. You will also analyze results, compile test reports, and coordinate instrument calibration. This position offers collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and opportunities to shape lighting solutions from concept to production in a cutting-edge field.
Responsibilities
- Measure and evaluate exterior and interior illumination; ensure lab operation
- Administer test samples and plan measurements
- Prepare samples, including CAN simulation
- Conduct lighting measurements (brightness, homogeneity, contrast, color, reflectivity)
- Analyze data; create test reports and present results
- Regular calibration checks of measuring instruments per lighting standards
- Organize and plan calibration of measuring instruments
Key requirements
- Experience with luminance measurements and Radiant i8 Imaging Photometer (ProMetric)
- Experience with spectrometry/color measurement; Instrument Systems CAS 140, Top200, and irradiance sensors (SpecWin)
- Experience with luminous intensity measurement; Instrument Systems Optronik AMS5000 Goniometer (LumiSuite & SpecWin)
- Knowledge of illuminance measurement systems: Luxmeter
- Knowledge of Vector CANoe
- Radiant i8 Imaging Photometer (ProMetric)
