We are recruiting for a Site Manager for our customer.
Role And Responsibilities- Coordination and supervision of complex construction work
- Organisation and optimisation of the installation workflow and commissioning activities on construction sites
- Planning installation staffing requirements, site facilities and required tools
- Performing site manager duties and working closely with the subcontractor coordinator, project management and the customer
- Sound knowledge of occupational safety and health protection on construction sites
- Ensuring compliance with HSE requirements (Engie and UK) and UK site rules
- Carrying out and/or supporting safety briefings/inductions
- Monitoring subcontractors with regard to safety, health and environmental standards
- Successfully completed training in electrical and control/instrumentation technology or mechanical engineering, e.g. plant mechanic or electrical technician, plus further qualification as a master craftsman (Meister) or technician
- Mandatory: very good English skills, spoken and written
- Several years of experience as a site manager in plant construction and/or electrical/I&C (measurement, control and regulation) technology
- Completed technical training, preferably: Plant mechanic / plant fitter / plant constructor, Electrician / electronics technician, Comparable technical qualification
- Experience coordinating and managing subcontractors
- Confident in site organisation, schedule tracking and on-site coordination
- Several years of professional experience in plant construction
- Additional qualification in welding technology or non‑destructive testing (NDT) for the mechanical site manager is an advantage
- Advantageous: proven site management experience on construction sites in England/the UK
- Experience working with international (German and English) companies desirable
- Strong commercial mindset and high communication skills complete your profile as a site manager
- Willingness to travel and a valid Category B driving licence
- Willingness to work in nuclear facilities and to participate in on‑call duty
- High willingness to travel
- Willingness to work longer continuous assignments on site: approx. 4 to 12 weeks at a time possibly a 6‑day week, depending on the project
