We are supporting various customers worldwide in automotive engineering.
We are recruiting for a Technical Author for Body & Equipment Mounting Manuals (BEMM). for our UK customer.
Objectives
- Using a Product Development framework, review and quantify product change content using Product Direction Letters (PDLs).
- Based on the changes, use CAD data to create layered images in Adobe Photoshop and generate new content that explains the issue / changes with annotations as required.
- Import the new images/content into Adobe In-Design and crate a βdraftβ BEMM document for review.
- Use the draft BEMM to consolidate input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and agree the content for publication. When required, facilitate cross-functional discussions, and broker an agreed consensus.
- Once approved by SME\’s, update the Adobe In-Design file in the relevant section of the BEMM.
- When authoring, consider the document will be translated into 7 x European languages, and remain customer focused throughout.
- Work to the BEMM loading/capacity chart to manage updates. Track all open issues to closure and develop action plans to deliver on time.

- Outstanding communication skills, both written & oral.
Experience required:
Prior experience of systems/tools, specifically Adobe In-Design, Adobe Photoshop.
Experience preferred:
TeamCentre, Vismockup and PDL.
Additional information:
37.5hrs p/w hybrid working and required to attend site for collaboration meetings & support the business needs of the department.
Position is confirmed inside IR35. Successful candidates need to be eligible to work in the UK.
