Berthon is expanding, so we are seeking an experienced yacht service manager to join our team of existing managers. A strong marine engineering knowledge will be an advantage, plus wide experience of sailing yachts and motor yachts up to 80 feet. The successful candidate will be organised, presentable and outgoing, with experience of dealing with wealthy yacht owners. The position offers a good annual salary, plus a notional dividend based on the performance of the company.

Reports to –

  • Senior Project Manager

Duties and Responsibilities –

  • Following up enquiries from customers
  • Liaising with manufacturers regarding specifications
  • Viewing boats to draw up technical specification
  • Costing labour and materials
  • Quoting customers
  • Following up customers after quoting
  • Obtaining signed orders & deposit payments
  • Sea trials and setting to work
  • Familiarisation of new equipment with owner
  • Invoicing & the collection of payment
  • After-refit service

In addition to the above, further duties as may be determined for the effective and efficient running of the company.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of marine maintenance and service
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to use own initiative and work unsupervised.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary based on experience and skills.
  • Full time, with options for flexible working.
  • 33 days holiday per annum, including bank holidays.
