We are hiring engaging, passionate and experienced facilitators to join a team delivering our Ambassador Programme to over 500 young people across more than eighteen schools. Launch Days are the starting point of the Bertha Earth Ambassador Programme within a school. They are high-energy, immersive days designed to introduce an entire year group to Bertha Earth, spark curiosity, and invite students to apply for the year-long programme. Through a mix of storytelling, interactive sessions and team-based activities, young people explore themes of nature, care and activism, while experiencing the tone and approach of the programme. Launch Days are designed to be engaging, inclusive and inspiring, giving every student a meaningful first encounter with Bertha Earth and the opportunity to step forward as an Ambassador.

Key Responsibilities

  • Launch Days Delivery
    • Each school begins their journey with a ‘Launch Day’ for their Year 7 or 8 pupils in September and early October.
    • Initially, we are looking for facilitators who can commit to travelling across all parts of London to many of these schools, ready and committed to regular work for this season.
    • For some facilitators, there may be the further opportunity to continue working with our partner schools and us into the rest of the academic year.
  • Model and support the ethos and culture of the organisation
  • Workshop & Assembly Facilitation & Delivery
    • Punctual attendance and communication, showing up ready to deliver.
    • Deliver consistently high-quality and engaging workshops to groups of up to 30 young people and year group assemblies in schools (session plans and training are provided).
  • Training
    • Attend a training day at our office in Oxford Circus on Thursday, 2nd September.
    • Bring your superstar energy to contribute your skills and wisdom to our community of facilitators.
  • Safeguarding & Data Security
    • Ensuring all your delivery in schools follow best practice safeguarding standards, including adherence to individual schools’ processes where relevant.
    • Adhere to all data-protection processes, maintaining an active awareness of the sensitivity of young people’s data.
