Your Mission at BMG
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Manager to take ownership of marketing and communications for our Italian catalogue, while contributing to global campaigns for key international releases. This is a highly visible role where your regional expertise and fluency in Italian and English will directly shape how our music reaches audiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee campaigns, provide strategic input on international marketing initiatives, and support the SVP in identifying business development opportunities, particularly in emerging markets. This is a chance to combine operational execution with strategic influence, helping to strengthen collaboration across territories and teams.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Take full operational oversight for Italian catalogue releases, managing all stages from conception through to post-campaign reporting.
- Leverage deep understanding of digital platforms, streaming trends, and online audience behaviour to inform and enhance campaign strategies.
- Liaise closely with Italian and global repertoire/marketing teams to identify and prioritise new and existing releases for the roster, ensuring Italian catalogue is fully integrated into international strategy.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with Italian artists, managers, local teams, and external partners.
- Act as primary international marketing lead for selected global priority releases, coordinating across territory teams and aligning activities, calendars, and messaging.
- Prepare and deliver marketing plans, campaign KPIs, and budgets, ensuring all relevant internal and external stakeholders are briefed and engaged.
- Oversee campaign assets, production timelines, and all necessary sign-offs in line with brand guidelines and legal requirements.
- Collaborate daily with teams including Digital/Streaming, Insights, Distribution, PR/Promo, Creative, and local markets.
- Work closely with the SVP of Global Catalogue Marketing to support research, market analysis, and preparation of business development proposals—particularly with a focus on growth in emerging territories.
- Propose and support new approaches to workflow/process optimisation, cross-border knowledge sharing, and integration of best practices.
- Stay informed on global and local trends, activity in the catalogue and streaming space, and competitor activity. Share insights regularly with senior management and relevant teams.
- Compile and present regular campaign results, P&L updates, and marketing analytics data for review meetings.
- Represent the international/Italian catalogue function in cross-departmental meetings and company-wide forums.
- Provide onboarding/training support and ongoing development for junior team members as required.
What You Bring:
- Proven track record in music marketing, global repertoire, or campaign management.
- Experience with international or cross-territory projects is preferred.
- Full professional fluency in English and Italian (written and spoken).
- Established relationships within the Italian and global music industries.
- Strong understanding of digital ecosystems, social media platforms, and streaming trends, with the ability to translate online insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Significant experience coordinating multi-territory or complex global marketing campaigns.
- Commercially focused and highly organised, with strong data literacy.
- Able to balance operational and creative demands effectively.
- Proactive and collaborative team player; approachable and able to influence at all levels.
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities.
- Experienced in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
It’s a plus if you also have:
- Exposure to, or interest in, business development and/or expanding into new/emerging global music markets.
- Experience mentoring or training team members.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, DSPs, and/or content creation tools (Photoshop, etc.).
