We are looking for an insight driven audience growth manager to support the strategic growth of audience channels across our author portfolio. In this role, you will work with established and newly acquired authors to identify opportunities to grow their audiences on and offline, strengthen communities and support content strategies to aid discoverability.

About Ebury: Ebury is the home of non-fiction at Penguin Random House. We publish the books that bring readers and authors together around shared passions in life: from cookery to creativity, from sport to spirituality, and from the most compelling personal stories to the biggest new ideas. At the heart of Ebury are our five Hubs - Lifestyle, Food, Entertainment, Self and Smart - and our BBC Books and Ebury Partnerships lists that publish across each. Our Hubs have an expert team of editors, publicists and marketers, working closely with our authors. Investing our boundless energy and collective creativity into every book, we craft the record-breaking, chart-topping, perennial bestsellers that will get you through.

The role

  • Support the growth of our author audience facing channels and networks.
  • Setting and tracking KPIs around growth, engagement and commercial success through competitor analysis and insight.
  • Using social listening tools to identify trends, sentiment and cultural moments.
  • Communicate insight into clear actionable recommendations and strategies.
  • Support new authors in building strong sustainable communities and valuable networks.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, cross-promotion and live events.
  • Strong collaboration with marketing, publicity, sales and editorial.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in audience development, digital marketing, community growth or publishing alongside a strong understanding of platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Substack.
  • Confidence and professional experience using social listening tools and turning data into strategy.
  • Natural curiosity and cultural awareness, always spotting emerging trends and opportunities before they peak.
  • A strong communicator and collaborator with experience working with multiple stakeholders.
  • You will balance analytical thinking with creativity, understanding how audience growth translates into commercial success.
  • Organised and adaptable, you thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and you can test and learn to refine approaches.
  • Passionate about storytelling, the evolving digital landscape and helping creators build meaningful, lasting connections with their audiences.
