Penguin Press in London (Embassy Gardens) seeks an Editorial Director to cover parental leave for up to 12 months.

You will acquire new titles for Penguin Classics and oversee publication of the existing list, including translations, from acquisition through publication.

You will need editorial judgement and strong project-management skills, ability to build relationships with authors, translators, agents and estates, and to collaborate on positioning, copy, design, publicity and marketing.
