At Berrys Solicitors, we are a growing family-run solicitors practice specialising in Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Probate, LPAs, Contested Wills & Inheritance Disputes, Court of Protection and Residential Property matters. We are based in Blackpool and Lancaster, serving clients across Lancashire. We are seeking a part-time Office Assistant to support our team within a busy and growing solicitors practice. This is a varied role ideal for:

As a small firm, the role offers exposure to a broad range of legal and administrative tasks, providing valuable hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- General office administration and support
- Assisting fee earners with day-to-day tasks
- Opening and maintaining client files (paper and digital)
- Answering phone calls, emails, and assisting with enquiries
- Greeting clients and assisting with appointments
- Handling incoming and outgoing post
- Filing, photocopying files, scanning, and document management
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and documents
- Visiting client properties/place of residence
- Supporting general office organisation and management
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Friendly, professional, and client-focused
- Keen and willing to learn
- Comfortable communicating with people in person, over the phone, and via email
- IT competent (Microsoft Office and general systems)
- Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (not essential)
- Studying or interested in law
- Previous administrative or customer service experience
- Previous experience in a legal environment
- Driving licence/Car
