We are seeking a Legal Assistant/ Paralegal to work within our growing solicitors practice. We are a small legal firm; therefore, the role will involve helping support the Fee earners across a mixed caseload while maintaining the highest standards of client care and service. The role will also include secretarial and client-facing duties. Ideally, the applicant will have one year of experience in any of the below-listed practice areas that we offer, but we are willing to be flexible with this requirement depending on the applicant\’s other areas of experience/ qualifications.

Applicants without such requisite experience should be open to developing their skills and experience across a broad spectrum of legal sectors and in a range of roles. This candidate would need to be keen to learn, committed and aim to develop personally. This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience in numerous legal areas and offers the potential to train and progress within a growing firm.

Criteria

  • Ideally one year of experience in either:

+ Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA\’s)

+ Court of Protection

+ Care & Top-up Fees

+ Conveyancing & Residential Property Matters

  • Good communication skills and telephone manner.
  • Personable, self-organised and motivated.
  • Ability to work in a busy, but friendly, work environment

We are also open to ambitious applicants seeking a part-time position to fit around ongoing studies with a view to progressing in the firm and take on a full-time role.
