Berrycove Limited is seeking a Delivery Driver with direct experience working in Tobago as a real-time driver and shipping representative to join its expanding operations in Tobago, offering significant advancement opportunities. This is a unique opportunity for nationals of Trinidad & Tobago or CARICOM Certificate holders to be part of the regional initiative toward building food security through advanced AgTech.
The Delivery Driver is charged with transporting refrigerated fresh goods and materials over land to and from the company, retail, and distribution centers. You will report to the Shipping Supervisor and work closely with the packaging team and lorry men.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with the Shipping Supervisor.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Complete delivery forms and forward the documentation for timely processing.
- Secure cargo and deal with hazardous materials safely, as needed.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any problems.
- Maintain customer service excellence as a representative of the company.
- Complete daily truck logs and submit mileage reports.
- Over (3) years of experience delivering food-related goods.
- Must be familiar with all roads and addresses in Tobago.
- Knowledge and experience of directional mapping apps (i.e., WAZE, Google Maps, etc.) and key customer locations across Tobago.
- Three (3) CSEC (CXC)/GCE O’levels subjects.
- Class 4 or 5 Driver’s permit.
- Defensive Driving certificate is considered an asset.
- Excels in Customer Service with the ability to upsell and cross-sell.
- Well-organized with excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
- Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
- Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull, and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.).
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Ability to adapt and adjust to unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
