Berry View Care Group is a new, ambitious provider opening our flagship 3-bedroom children's home in Sittingbourne. We support children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and mild learning difficulties. We are looking for an exceptional Registered Manager to lead the way. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted standards
  • Develop and oversee individual care plans for children with EBD and mild learning difficulties
  • Act as the registered person with Ofsted – accountable for quality and safeguarding
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, social workers, and external agencies

Essential Requirements (Legal – Ofsted):

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within 3 years)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a children's residential setting within the last 5 years
  • Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted inspection framework
  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience opening a new children's home or similar service from scratch
  • Proven track record of achieving "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted ratings
  • Experience supporting children with mild learning difficulties and EBD
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and therapeutic approaches
  • Experience recruiting, training, and leading a new staff team
  • Experience managing budgets, occupancy, and financial performance
