We are seeking an organised and proactive Legal Assistant to join our busy Private Client and Residential Property team in our Cardiff office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied caseload including Wills, LPAs, Probate, Trusts, Estates and Residential Property matters, within a supportive and professional environment.
This is a full-time role based in our Cardiff office. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to fee earners.
- Managing files, including opening, maintaining and closing in line with compliance requirements.
- Undertaking AML checks for new clients.
- Billing support.
- Maintaining and updating case management systems.
- Preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Liaising with clients and delivering a high standard of client care.
- Managing diaries, appointments, and client meetings.
- Submitting applications to HM Land Registry.
- Providing general administrative support to the team as required.
Required skills, experience and personal attributes:
- Previous experience in a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary role (ideally working as part of a Private Client and/or Residential Property Team).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Strong team player with a proactive approach.
