Berry Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Trainee Vinyl Liner Installer (Driver) to join their specialist installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, travelling across the UK, and learning a skilled trade with full one-to-one training provided.

Working alongside experienced installers, you'll learn how to measure, cut, heat weld, and install bespoke vinyl liners into swimming pools during the construction phase. No previous vinyl installation experience is required - just a strong work ethic, flexibility, and a willingness to learn.

Position Details
  • Location: Nationwide (Field Based) - Based near Witney, Oxfordshire
  • Salary: £27,000 per annum (Overtime rate: 1.5x pay)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week (daily travel required with regular overnight stays)
  • Start Date: ASAP
What You'll Be Doing

Following your comprehensive training programme, you'll be responsible for:

  • Measuring, cutting, handling, and installing vinyl liners to precise specifications.
  • Using handheld heat guns to heat weld and join vinyl liners.
  • Travelling to customer sites throughout the UK to complete installations during swimming pool construction.
  • Working as part of a two-person installation team to deliver projects to a high standard.
  • Maintaining excellent workmanship while meeting project deadlines.

You'll receive full one-to-one training over a minimum 18-month training programme, giving you the skills and confidence to become a fully qualified installer.

What We're Looking For
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • Practical, hands-on approach to work.
  • A willingness to travel nationwide and stay away from home when required.
  • Flexible attitude towards working hours and overtime.
  • Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn a specialist trade.
  • Previous experience within construction, roofing, or another hands-on trade would be advantageous but is not essential.
