Berry Recruitment Darlington is currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives (Logistics) to join the Ambient Department for one of our well-established distribution clients. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, with a 12-week probation period through Berry Recruitment before transferring to a permanent contract.
Shift Pattern: Flexible finish time. Working between 6 and 8 hours per shift. Pay £12.90 per hour. Paid weekly during your first 12 weeks.
The Role: As a Warehouse Operative (Logistics), you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and ensuring the working environment is safe, organised and ready for the picking team. Your duties will include:
- Sweeping and maintaining a clean warehouse environment.
- Pulling pallets forward to ensure stock is easily accessible.
- Unwrapping pallets ready for picking and distribution.
- Clearing spillages promptly and safely.
- Supporting the Ambient team with general warehouse and logistics duties.
- Assisting with additional tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times.

This is a long-term opportunity with a view to becoming permanent after the initial 12-week agency period. This role is not suitable for students who are on their summer break and planning to return to education in September, as we are looking for candidates seeking long-term, permanent employment. Successful candidates will be required to complete a drug and alcohol screening on their first day of training.
