We are seeking several dedicated Warehouse Operatives to join our client based in Darlington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming pallets. Being able to organise and work in a fast-paced environment is key! You will also ensure cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse environment.
Shifts available:
- 5:00am until finish, approx 6-8 hours per shift, depending on business needs.
- 9:00am until finish, approx 6-8 hours per shift, depending on business needs.
- 2:00pm until finish, approx 6-8 hours per shift, depending on business needs.
- 4:00pm until finish, approx 6-8 hours per shift, depending on business needs.
- 8:00pm until finish, approx 6-8 hours per shift, depending on business needs.
Pay rate is £14.58 per hour, paid weekly on a Friday. £18.23 per hour for any hours worked after 10pm. 5 days over 7 which includes working some weekends, 2 weekends in, 1 weekend off rota.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming pallets
- Organise and maintain inventory in the warehouse
- Perform quality control checks on incoming pallets
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pump trucks
- Always follow health and safety guidelines
- Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Operative or similar role
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Forklift certification is a plus
