Berry Recruitment are recruiting for a Chef on behalf of a busy hospitality venue in Fowey. This is a seasonal position with an immediate start, offering the chance to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.

Working within a high-volume kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food during busy service periods, helping to deliver a smooth operation serving approximately (Apply online only) covers per day.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to the required standard
  • Managing food preparation and service during busy periods
  • Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures at all times
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages when required
  • Working independently during quieter periods as well as alongside the wider team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and allergen awareness
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working under pressure during busy service periods
  • Able to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including split shifts
