Berry Recruitment is looking for a Maintenance Assistant for an initial 3-month contract.
Contract: 3 months
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £13.00 - £13.45 an hour depending on experience
Location: Charlwood
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 8am - 4pm
Job Description:
- Responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, including gardening.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and repair any faults.
- Ensure a high standard of maintenance is achieved in all areas.
- Deliver an efficient and effective maintenance service to assist in the well-being, comfort, and safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Work alongside an established team on all maintenance-related tasks.
- Liaise with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.
- Support the completion of PPM checks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Carry out general repair and maintenance work to the building internally and externally, including plumbing, furniture, electrical appliances, painting and decoration, nursing aids, and general building fabric.
- Fulfill requirements for regular monitoring of water temperatures, nurse call, plant room, fire panel, etc.
- Identify specialist work requiring external contractors, monitor costs, and keep records of all such work undertaken.
- Take delivery of commodities and store them securely and safely.
